[반지의 제왕] - 장소 설명 및 지도 위치 - 로한, 에도라스, 헬름 협곡과 나팔산성, 던하로우, 팡고른 숲, 아이센가드와 오르상크 탑 2024. 11. 26. 로한의 건국 - 에오를의 맹세로한의 조상들은 로바니온의 북부인들로 이들은 안두인 강의 상류로 이주한 뒤 자신들을 에오세오드(Eotheod)라고 일컬었다. 소년 왕 에오를이 에오세오드들을 다스리던 시기에 에오를과 에오세오드들은 곤도르를 도와 동부인 부족인 발코스족들을(Balchoth) 켈레브란트 평원 전투에서 격퇴하였다. 곤도르는 이에 에오를과 에오세오드들에게 칼레나르돈 땅을 양도하며 에오를은 로한을 건국하고 로한의 첫번째 왕으로 즉위한다  또한 에오를은 곤도르와 함께 에오를의 맹세란 이름으로 서로의 굳건한 동맹 관계를 구축하고 서로의 위기때 지원군을 파견할 것을 맹세한다. 로한인들은 자신들을 초대 왕 에오를의 이름을 따서 에오를링가(Eorlinga)라고 부르지만 외부에서는 호스 마스터 즉 말들의 군주라는..

[반지의 제왕] - 장소 설명 및 지도 위치 - 곤도르 - 미나스 티리스, 이실리엔 지방, 펠라기르 지방, 펠렌노르 평원 2024. 11. 25. 이실리엔 지방(Ithilien)이실리엔 지방은 안두인 강 동쪽의 곤도르 영토로 오스길리아스에서 미나스 이실(미나스 모르굴)까지의 영토였다. 이실(Ithil)은 신다르 엘프어로 달이란 뜻을 가졌으며 이실두르가 처음엔 미나스 이실을 거점으로 이실리엔 지방을 다스렸다. 키리스 웅골의 탑(Cirith Ungol)도 본래는 이실리엔 지방의 방어와 모르도르 감시를 위해 곤도르인들이 세웠다. 미나스 이실이 사우론과 나즈굴들에 의해 함락된 뒤 부터는 미나스 모르굴이라고 불리기 시작하였고 곤도르인들은 이실리엔 지방 방어에 총력을 다 하였다.  하지만 곤도르는 이실리엔 지방 방어에 실패하고 오스길리아스로 후퇴하고 이실리엔 지방은 사우론과 모르도르의 세력들이 차지한다. 이실리엔 지방 출신의 잔존 곤도르 전사들은 서쪽의 순찰..

[반지의 제왕] - 장소 설명 및 지도 위치 - 곤도르 -오스길리아스, 벨팔라스, 돌 암로스 2024. 11. 25. 곤도르 - 두네다인들의 남왕국  누메노르의 몰락 이후, 아나리온과 이실두르를 따른 신실파 누메노르인들은 펠라기르 만의 항구에 도착한 뒤, 두네다인들의 남왕국 곤도르를 건국한다. 아나리온과 이실두르의 아버지 엘렌딜이 북왕국 아르노르를 건국함과 동시에, 아르노르와 곤도르의 통합왕국의 상왕으로서 망명 누메노르인들의 북왕국과 남왕국을 다스린다. 엘렌딜이 아르노르와 곤도르의 상왕으로서 명목상으로도 곤도르의 초대왕이었지만, 실질적으로는 이실두르와 아나리온이 곤도르를 동시에 통치한다.  이실두르는 곤도르의 동쪽 이실리엔 지방과 훗날 미나스 모르굴이라고 불릴 미나스 이실에서 곤도르를 다스렸으며, 아나리온은 곤도르의 서쪽, 훗날 미나스 티리스라고 불릴 미나스 아노르에서 곤도르를 다스렸다. 미나스 이실과 미나스 아노르를 ..

[반지의 제왕] - 장소 설명 및 지도 위치 - 리븐델(깊은골), 로슬로리엔, 모리아, 에리아도르, 린돈, 회색항구 2024. 11. 25. 모리아 – 옛 드워프들의 왕국 크하잣둠모리아(Moria)는 검은 구덩이라는 뜻으로 안개산맥의 중앙에 위치하였으며, 로슬로리엔 근처에 존재하였다. 모리아는 옛 두린 일족 즉 긴수염 일족 드워프들이 만든 대국 크하잣둠(Khazad-dum)의 새로운 이름이다. 드워프 왕국 크하잣둠은 특히나 풍부한 미스릴 광산으로 유명하였지만 드워프들이 미스릴을 채굴하기 위해서 너무 깊숙이 안개 산맥의 지하에 들어간 나머지 두린의 재앙이라고 불릴 발록을 깨워버리고 만다.  제1시대 때 분노의 전쟁에서 도망친 것으로 추정되는 모르고스의 수하인 발록은 두린 6세를 살해하고 나인 1세를 살해하며, 크하잣둠은 멸망하고, 드워프들은 회색산맥과 에레보르로 피난간다. 크하잣둠의 폐허는 고블린(오크)들이 차지해버리며, 모리아라는 검은 구덩이..

[반지의 제왕] - 장소 설명 및 지도 위치 - 샤이어, 브리, 안두인 강, 에뮌 무일, 아르고나스 2024. 11. 24. 샤이어 - 호빗들의 땅샤이어(Shire)는 아르노르의 후계국 중 하나인 아르세다인 내부의 호빗을 위한 자치령이었다. 샤이어는 아르세다인의 일부지만 호빗들은 자치권을 인정 받았으며, 호빗들은 비옥한 샤이어 땅에서 거주를 하였다. 안개 산맥의 안두인 강 상류에서 거주하던 호빗들 중 일부가 안개산맥을 넘어 에리아도르로 넘어오면서 브리와 샤이어에 정착을 한다.  마르초(Marcho)와 블랑코(Blanco)라고 불리던 호빗들은 아르세다인의 왕에게 허락을 구하며, 아르세다인 왕국의 샤이어의 호빗들의 자치권을 인정받게 된다. 이는 샤이어의 승인 또는 샤이어의 공인이라고 불리며, 호빗들은 아르세다인의 왕을 섬기는 조건으로 자치권을 인정 받았다. 샤이어의 공인 이후 던랜드, 카르돌란 그리고 루다우르에 흩어져 있던 호빗들..
