Dr. Henry Wu after the Jurassic World Incident
Dr. Herny Wu and the Hammond Creation Lab had plans to even revive mammoths and other prehistoric animals and multiple facilities were created worldwide to support the research of InGen. Dr. Henry Wu started to create genetically hybrid dinosaurs under the demand of profit by the Masrani Global Corporation while he led the revival and research of the original dinosaur species.
During this process. Dr. Henry Wu created the first genetically modified dinosaur E750, Scorpios Rex but declared it a failure due to its irrationally aggressive nature. Dr. Henry Wu discovered the possibility of using the genetic information to help cure human diseases as well before the Jurassic World Incident.
After Dr. Henry Wu’s Indominus rex destroyed Jurassic World, Masrani Global Corporation conducted an internal audit while Dr. Herny Wu even received an ethic review committee audit by academics as well.
Dr. Henry Wu was declared guilty for the misconduct of research and ethics and all his positions and achievements were forfeit. Dr. Henry Wu was furious as he pursuit only the scientific research in terms of academics under orders of his superiors
.
Elli Mills who managed assets of Benjamin Lockwood hired Dr. Henry Wu opening the lab in the Lockwood Manor where Dr. Henry Wu used to work with Benjamin Lockwood and John Hammond. Dr. Henry Wu retrieves a sample of the Indominus Rex’s bone and creates a prototype Indoraptor in the Lockwood Manor.
However, Dr. Henry Wu realizes that the Indoraptor like his first failure the Scorpius Rex exhibited uncontrollable hostility and demanded that the genetic sample of the velociraptor Blue to make a more obedient specimen.
Scorpios Rex – The First genetically modified hybrid Dinosaur- E750
The Scorpios Rex was the first genetically hybrid dinosaur that was ever created even before the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor by Dr. Henry Wu codenamed E750.
Dr. Henry Wu’s noticed that the first genetically hybrid dinosaur Scorpios Rex was too aggressive exhibiting mental instability and he considered it a failure. Masrani Global Corporation officials also stated that the Scorpios Rex was physically not attributing to display to the public.
Dr. Henry Wu started to focus on how to resolve the unnaturally aggressive behaviors of the genetically hybrid dinosaurs especially those with multiple carnivore DNA.
Dr. Henry Wu shutdown the Scorpios Rex project and after the creation of the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor, he concluded that he would need the genomic information of the velociraptor Blue which was a particularly outstanding individual for the IBRIS project that studied the intelligence of velociraptors.
The Scorpios Rex was frozen in a cryogenic suspension and was never to be released, however it was released after the Jurassic World incident. The Scorpios Rex even had venomous barbs and was particularly aggressive.
Indoraptor
The Indoraptor was a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur that was created by the Henry Wun in the Lockwood Manor at California. After a mercenary team retrieved the bone sample of the Indominus Rex from Isla Nublar, Dr. Henry Wu created the Indoraptor based on the genomic information of the Indominus Rex and velociraptors.
However, the prototype Indoraptor was supposed to become an obedient biological weapon but it was not obedient to humans, sadistic and exhibited unnatural traits making it impossible to commercialize.
Dr. Henry Wu asked Eli Mills to capture the velociraptor Blue from Isla Nubalr while they captured dinosaurs for an auction for financial aid.
The Indoraptor didn’t have any relationship with the velociraptor Blue and Dr. Henry Wu intended to make another sample out of the velociraptor Blue while make Blue a ‘mother figure’ so it could learn social skills.
Although the Indoraptor failed to become a commercial merchandise and Dr. Henry Wu considered it a failure, it was still able to present basic attack commands by the audio frequency at the dinosaur auction.
The Indoraptor like the Indominus Rex exhibited to kill any kind of organism even though it didn’t want to consume it. The Russian Anton Orlov won the auction of the Indoraptor with 24 million dollars, however the rampage at the auction released the Indoraptor and the whole auction turned into chaos.
The Indoraptor even killed Ken Wheatley who was the commander of the mercenaries and Gunnar Eversoll who led the auction.
Somehow, the Indoraptor was obsessed on capturing Maisie Lockwood as his priority target probably after Maisie Lockwood stumbled into the secret underground lab and approached the Indoraptor in captivity but was able to leave out alive.
After the battle of the velociraptor of Blue and the Indoraptor, the Indoraptor fell from the glass roof top and the was stabbed by the horns of the Agujaceratops skull fossil.
Loss of the Indominus Rex sample and the Indoraptor
After the Lockwood Manor Incident, release of the dinosaurs and the rampage of the Indoraptor at the auction, Eli Mills was able to take the bone sample of the Indominus Rex but he was killed by a Carnotaurus and the Tyrannosaurus Rex Rexy while Tyrannosaurus Rex crushed on the Indominus Rex bone sample as well.
It is unknown whether Dr. Henry Wu was able to successfully evacuate with all the data and information of the genetically hybrid dinosaurs or if anyone else attempted to retrieve genetic samples from the dead Indoraptor or the Indominus Rex later on. However, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom marked the end of the new genetically bred dinosaur species
DNA Recovery from the Indominus Rex skeleton
DNA has a half-life of 521 years and although it may seem available only in live blood cells, DNA recovery from skeletal materials has long been a great method to analyze and research DNA materials.
Even in the point of view of forensic science, DNA sampling methods from bones have been developed and research. After the death of an organism and the cutoff of oxygen and metabolism, a cell would instantly collapse as it cannot hold its membrane and maintain its organelles.
DNA degradation would also quickly follow as well. However, DNA in skeletal material such as bones and teeth tend to persist much longer than other soft tissue cells as substances such as hydroxyapatite could chemically stabilize the DNA from degradation.
The salinity of sea water and salts may have contributed to the denaturation of the DNA of the Indominus Rex bone sample, but it could have also served as a natural preservative as well.
The salinity and salt have a complex effect on DNA degradation thus it is difficult to confirm. However, DNA recovery from the Indominus Rex bone was more real life scientifically accurate than the mosquito blood DNA recovery of Jurassic Park.
