Simon Masrani – Irrfan Khan
Simon Masrani was the CEO of the Masrani global Corporation and the founder of Masrani Energy. After Simon Masrani inherited Masrani Global Corporation from his father Sanjay Masrani, Masrani Global Corporation became a global company that conducted business in various fields.
Simon Masraniha has also acquired InGen in 1998 after the death of the founder and former CEO John Hammon passed away. Simon Masrani insisted on the creation of Jurassic World to fulfil John Hammond’s dream.
With the construction under the subsidiaries of Masrani Global Corporation and the chief genetic engineer DR. Henry Wu and the Hammond Creation Lab team, Jurassic Park successfully opened in 2005 and became a huge success.
However, after years, revenue of Jurassic World started to drop that greatly concerned investors and management. Simon Masrani directly ordered Dr. Henry Wu to create a ‘cooler dinosaur’ and approved the creation of genetic hybrid dinosaurs.
Simon Masrani announced the creation of the Indominus Rex where ticket sales of Jurassic World started to soar once again. He landed on Jurassic World prior to the official opening of the Indominus Rex Paddock, however he notices an odd atmosphere and orders Clare Dearing to ask Owen Grady to check on the paddock.
Unfortunately, this started the tragedy of Jurassic World and the rampage of the Indominus Rex that even go Simon Marani killed as well.
The Indian actor Irrfan Khan take the role as Simon Masrani in Jurassic Park. Irrfan Khan starred in the movie Slumdog Millionaire as a police inspector, FBI agent in New York, Dr. Rajit Ratha in The Amazing Spiderman.
Irrfan Khan’s role as the adult Piscine “Pi” Molitor Patel in the movie Life of Pi started to ramp up his career and he won the National film Award for Best Actor in India during his role as Paan Singh Tomar, a legendary steeplechase athlete rebel in the movie Paan Singh Tomar.
Irrfan Khan becomes even more successful as his role as Raj Batra in the movie Hindi Medium which has become a mega hit in India and China.
Simon Masrani and the Tragedy of Jurassic World
Because Lowery refused to close the Indominus Paddock quickly and Simon Masrani refused to alert the whole park while mobilizing the ACU(Asset Containment Unit), the consequence of the escape of the Indominu Rex started to get out of control.
After Owen Grady bashed into the control room full of employees to their poor management of the Indominus Rex, negligence, ignorance and the insane idea to make such a genetically hybrid monster, Simon Masrani argues with Dr. Henry Wu.
Dr. Henry Wu thought it was absurd as it was Simon Masrani himself that gave the direct orders to create such a dinosaur to attract more visitors while Simon Masrani couldn’t respond but asserted, he shall call upon the ethics committee onto Dr. Henry Wu.
Simon Masrani who showed shaky helicopter skills who never received military training takes the helicopter himself to kill the Indominus Rex but this eventually caused the death of himself and the breakout of the Pteranodons and the dimorphodons that would attack the visitors of Jurassic World.
Unlike the novel, Simon Masrani was depicted as a kind person he tried to encourage people to enjoy life and tried to ensure the guests and the dinosaurs were happy. However, Simon Masrani had an innocent perspective of the world.
He had a childish fantasy, unawareness, ignorance and overall, everything of Simon Masrani’s intentions were cloudy and vague. In the movie, Vic Hoskins refers Simon Masrani as a person who doesn’t even know what he owns.
John Hammond at least had knowledge and aware of the consequences that his creations would be but still everything that happened in Jurassic Park were over an extent of his acknowledgement.
Unfortunately, Caire Dearing, Simon Masrani and all the employees of Jurassic World neglected the consequences of the creation of life, were ignorant of what they were dealing with.
John Hammond’s failure led to the death of dozen people, Simon Masrani’s failure eventually led to the release of dinosaurs to the world threatening humanity.
Vic Hoskins – Vincent D’ Onofrio
Victor Vic Hoskins was the leader of the InGen Security Division after he worked with Ingen as an individual contractor capturing the Pteranodons that escaped Isla Sorna which Dr. Alan Grant and the Kirby family saw from their helicopter when they were saved from Isla Sorna in Jurassic Park. InGen officially hired Vic Hoskins for his contribution and he later became the leader of InGen Security Division.
Under Vic Hoskins, InGen Security Division grew as a paramilitary force and even received recognition by the United Nations Security Council where InGen Security Division was able to secure a monopoly on all operations to prevent poaching or illegal trades of dinosaurs.
Vic Hoskins even led the project to capture the dinosaurs and secure Isla Nublar for the construction of Jurassic World where they were able to capture the Tyrannosaurus Rex Rexy alive as well.
Victor Hoskin’s InGen Security Division has already been running many military contracts with the subsidiaries of Masrani Global Corporation in communications and drones, however he sought an opportunity to weaponize dinosaurs and made a secret agreement with Dr. Henry Wu to make a prototype genetic hybrid dinosaur for military operations.
Vic Hoskins even started to take control of the IBRIS Project of the velociraptors of Owen Grady(Integrated Behavioral Raptor Intelligence Study) while the IBRIS project was supposed to be like a dolphin show, seal show for attraction. Victor Hoskins wanted to militarize the IBRIS Project of the velociraptors as well.
After the death of Simon Masrani, Vic Hoskins attempts to use the velociraptor to take down the Indominus Rex which failed because the Indominus Rex was part velociraptor as well.
Vic Hoskins then retrieves the dinosaur research data and genomic information in Hammond Creation Lab while evacuating Dr. Henry Wu. Vic Hoskins was killed by the velociraptor Delta who has been constantly irritated by him while she was kept in captivity.
Vincent D’ Onofrio took the role as Victor Vic Hoskins. Vincent D’ Onofrio has acted and even produced many films while he would even lecture at film institutes contributing to the film industry in various methods.
Vincent D’ Onofrio played the role as ‘Gomer Pye’ private Leonard Lawerence in Full Metal Jacket, the cockroach like alien Edgar the Bug in Men in Black, Robert E. Howard in The Whole Wide World which he was also the producer. He is also expected to play the role as Kingpin, Wilson Fisk in the Daredevil saga series.
Dr. Henry Wu in Jurassic World - Bradley Darryl Wong
After the Jurassic Park Incident, Dr. Henry Wu still worked for InGen and had an opportunity to visit Isla Nublar where he realized that the amphibian DNA in the dinosaurs allowed dinosaurs to change their gender and breed.
Dr. Henry Wu was fascinated that the dinosaurs could live and survive InGen’s Lysine Contingency Plan and were able to breed. Dr. Henry Wu became interested in genetic hybrids and the potential of genetic hybrids. Dr. Henry Wu himself creates a hybrid plant based on such interest.
After Masrani Global Corporation acquired InGen, Dr. Henry Wu became the supervisor of the Hammond Creation Lab and he was promoted high up the ranks.
Along with the research on dinosaur’s revival, Dr. Henry Wu focused on the development and research of genetically modified dinosaurs and creating new species. Upon the demand of the board of directors and investors for more profit, Simon Masrani himself approved the creation of the Indominus Rex.
Dr. Henry Wu successfully creates the genetically modified Indominus Rex with various animals and dinosaurs based on the Tyrannosaurus Rex genome.
Dr. Henry Wu would secretly consent to Vic Hoskin’s plan to weaponize dinosaurs and conducted other secret projects as well.
Dr. Henry Wu wasn’t interested in the increase of profits, weaponizing dinosaurs etc, however he was merely purely interested in and somewhat obsessed on the research by genetic hybrids itself. Bradley Darryl Wong takes the role as Dr. Henry Wu in both Jurassic Park and Jurassic World series.
