Hermione Granger’s parents
Hermione Granger’s mother and father were both dentists per the Slug Club conversation Hermione had with Professor Slughorn.
Although both were muggles, presumably ahead of the family tree, there must have been a squib. Hermione’s parents were supportive when they received the news that Hermione Jean Granger, their daughter was a witch and possessed magical powers.
Gringotts Wizarding Bank offered currency exchange for the muggle currency and the wizardry world currency so they were able to support Hermione’s school years by this service. They had the opportunity to meet with the Weasley family and greet Arthur Weasley.
Hermione Granger modifies her parent’s memories with the Obliviate spell
Hermione Granger knew that she would become a top priority on the hit list of Voldemort and the Death Eaters because she was both a friend of Harry Potter and a muggle-born witch. Hermione Granger modified her parent’s memories as she erased all of her memories with them by the Obliviate spell.
Hermione Granger feared that her parents would be a target as well so she modified the names of her parents as well. Hermione Granger gave a fake alias of her father as Wendell Wilkins and her mother Monica Wilkins as she modified their memories.
Hermione Granger also forced her mother and father to relocate to Australia so the Death Eaters couldn’t search them and protect her parents from the Death Eaters.
Albus Dumbledore’s visit to the Dursleys during Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
During the timepoint of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Albus Dumbledore visited at Privet 4 Drive. Albus Dumbledore informed the death of Harry’s godfather Sirius Black’s death and the fact that Harry Potter inherited the Black Family’s house of 12 Grimmauld Place.
Interestingly Albus Dumbledore scolded Vernon and Petunia for their harassment on Harry Potter and spoiling their son Dudley. Dudley Dursley already started to have better feelings with Harry after Harry rescued him from the dementor attack.
Dudley Dursley felt the horrors, sadness and negative impressions of bullying others from the dementor attack as the dementors sucked away the positive emotions of Dudley.
This became an opportunity for Dudley reflect himself. Dudley Dursley also felt something from the words of Albus Dumbledore scolding his parents for spoiling him and reflected on himself as well.
Farewell to the Dursleys
The Dursleys were also in danger as Harry Potter was soon reaching age 17. The real estate prices started to rise but regardless for the safety of the Dursleys, Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix insisted on the Dursleys.
Vernon Dursley resisted that it was Harry Potter’s plot to take over their home but eventually the Dursleys decided to sell their house and relocate parting themselves from Harry Potter.
Vernon Dursley almost shook hands with Harry Potter but eventually never did nor did he make up with Harry Potter. Petunia had complications against Harry Potter but still eventually didn’t make up with him officially either.
Petunia’s relationship with Harry Potter and Lily Evans, her sister
Petunia stuttered even at the last moment with Harry Potter. She wanted to say something good to him but eventually failed and never spoke after.
Petunia still did love her sister Lily Evans(Lily Potter) and she was sincerely devastated after hearing the news of her sister’s horrific murder.
However, Petunia had jealousy and self-defeatism on the fact she didn’t have magic powers which her parents were so delighted of Lily. Petunia even wrote to Albus Dumbledore to please accept her to Hogwarts; however, she was rejected.
Petunia became extremely hostile as she wasn’t even given a chance nor did she have the luck to become a witch. Petunia would confront Severus Snape and Lily during their youth.
Petunia although was devastated on Lily’s death, she expressed her childhood grudges on Harry Potter. However towards the parting with Harry Potter,
Petunia did feel guilt towards the Potters and when Dudley made up with Harry Potter, she burst into tears but eventually couldn’t apologize for Harry Potter.
Later on, Dudley gives Harry Potter the blanket that Harry was wrapped in which Petunia has kept all these years as it was the last item that could connect Petunia with her sister Lily.
Dudley Dursley make up with Harry Potter
Dudley Dursley truly reflected on himself after the Dementor Attack and the comments by Albus Dumbledore. Dudley did try to make up with Harry Potter but Harry didn’t even think that Dudley would try to make such an attempt so Dudley’s attempts all failed.
However, at the last moment when Harry Potter finally splits apart with the Dursleys, Dudley Dursley gave Harry Potter a handshake and thanked him for saving his life.
Although not much was said, Harry Potter knew that Dudley Dursley was apologizing for Dudley’s bullying and abusing of him by this handshake. Harry Potter also sincerely accepted Dudley’s apology.
In the movie, a deleted scene describes Dudley Dursley saying to Harry Potter that “I don’t think you are a waste of space”. Later on, Dudley Dursley would even exchange Christmas cards with Harry Potter.
Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks’s wedding
Nymphadora Tonks started to love Remus Lupin as they were in action as members of the Order of the Pheonix.
Nymphadora Tonks was passionate with Remus Lupin but Remus Lupin refused as he feared that lycantropy, in other words him being a werewolf would ruin her careers, happy marriage and life. Tonks was discouraged as Remus Lupin strongly rejected the love between them.
However, Nymphadora Tonks gains courage after she saw Fleur Delacour confessing her life-long love with Bill Weasley even after he was injured by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower.
Injuries by a werewolf would cause mild phenomenons of a werewolf which Bill Weasley would crave raw meat. Eventually Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks married together before Harry Potter’s birthday.
The Ministry of Magic had powerful anti-werewolf laws set up so Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks had to secretly marry each other.
Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks’s rough marriage
Remus Lupin did sincerely love Nymphadora Tonks but he was also terrified of the consequences of their child, Tonks’s career and the terrors that he could cause to Tonks who he loves the most in the world.
After word of their marriage spread, Bellatrix Lestrange and Narcissa Malfoy also learns of what their blood traitor sister Andromeda Tonks’s daughter and their cousin Nymphadora Tonks.
Bellatrix Lestrange was most furious who was already eager to annihilate the blood traitors as her cousin who she already wanted to murder would marry a werewolf.
Remus Lupin was depressed that he might have ruined Tonks’s life after he knew of her pregnancy. Remus Lupin feared that their child would even become a werewolf as well.
Remus Lupin told Harry to take him with the hunt of the Horcurxes but Harry Potter rudely scolded Remus Lupin for being selfish and irresponsible of Remus Lupin’s family. Remus was both humiliated and furious but did return to Tonks’s side.
Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks’s son Teddy Lupin
Remus Lupin didn’t join Harry Potter’s trio’s quest for Voldemort horcruxes but returned to Nymphadora Tonks. They both resisted against Voldemort and the Death Eaters.
In April of 1998, Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks gave birth to a child and named him ‘Teddy Lupin’ whose full name was Edward Remus Teddy Lupin. Remus Lupin asks Harry Potter to become his son’s godfather.
Harry Potter happily accepts and becomes Teddy Lupin’s godfather. Teddy Lupin didn’t inherit any kinds of werewolf symptoms from his father Remus Lupin which Remus Lupin has feared for the whole time.
