Infiltration of the Death Eaters through the Vanishing Cabinet by Draco Malfoy
Draco Malfoy successfully repairs the Vanishing Cabinet and connects the Vanishing Cabinet at Borgin and Burkes.
Through the Vanishing Cabinet, Death eaters Corban Yaxley, Thorfinn Rowle, Gibbon Alecto Carrow and Amycus Carrow (the Carrows) and other Death Eaters infiltrated into Hogwarts grounds along with werewolf Fenrir Greyback(Fenrir Greyback is technically not a Death Eater) arrived in the Room of Requirement.
In the movie, Bellatrix Lestrange also joins but she didn’t in the novel.
The Death Eater’s breakthrough of Hogwarts Defense
Draco Malfoy uses the Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder to conceal the Death Eaters from the Order of the Pheonix and Neville, Ron and Ginny. While the Order of the Pheonix and some members of Dumbledore’s Army were in confusion,
Draco Malfoy led the way for the Death Eaters by a Hand of Glory which his father told that only thieves would use such an item at the timepoint of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Along with the Death Eaters Draco Malfoy headed up to the Astronomy Tower. The Death Eaters signaled a Dark Mark up to the sky of Hogwarts to alert their successful infiltration.
Severus Snape felt his arm burn as the Dark Mark sparked up the sky and he tells Luna Lovegood and Hermione to alert the members of the Order of the Pheonix.
Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter arrives at the Astronomy Tower
Harry gave his rest of the Felix Felicis to Ron and Hermione and Ginny. Albus Dumbledore set up defense with the Order of the Pheonix members patrolling Hogwarts before he and Harry headed to the Cave Island of the horcrux.
Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore appartated to Three Broomsticks Inn in Hogsmeade as they barely made it out alive from the Cave Island before they were overwhelmed by the Inferius’s.
Madam Rosmerta gives Harry and Dumbledore two broomsticks which both head to the Astronomy Tower as they noticed Death Eaters infiltrated. Albus Dumbledore was already severely weakened by the Emerald Potion, the Drink of Despair.
Draco Malfoy disarms Albus Dumbledore - Battle of the Astronomy Tower
Draco Malfoy confronts Albus Dumbledore in the Astronomy Tower. Draco Malfoy disarms Albus Dumbledore with the Expeliarmus charm (Disarming Charm).
Albus Dumbledore convinces Draco Malfoy that he knew of all his assassination attempts because Snape told him of Draco Malfoy’s orders from Voldemort.
Draco Malfoy was confused because Snape was helping him and argues that Severus Snape is a double agent working for Voldemort.
Albus Dumbledore knew that Draco Malfoy deep down didn’t want to kill him and he offers Draco Malfoy protection of him and the Malfoy family from Voldemort.
Draco Malfoy already felt guilty, ashamed, feared, felt anger against Voldemort for holding his family hostage and didn’t want to kill Albus Dumbledore so he constantly hesitates.
Draco Malfoy just couldn’t cast the Killing Spell and it would have failed eventually because the Killing Spell Avada Kadavra required a sheer will to murder the victim.
Severus Snape murders Albus Dumbledore
In the novel, Albus Dumbledore stuns Harry Potter with the Full-Body Binding Curse Petrificus Totalus and hides him under the Invisibility Cloak.
In the movie, Harry Potter was informed to stay intact no matter what by Albus Dumbledore. Severus Snape somehow also tells Harry Potter to be silent and heads up to the Astronomy Tower where the Death Eaters and Draco Malfoy were on a stand-off with Albus Dumbledore.
While the Death Eaters were constantly taunting Albus Dumbledore and urging Draco Malfoy to cast the Killing Curse, Albus Dumbledore resisted and refuted back to the Death Eaters.
However, as Severus Snape reached the top of the Astronomy Tower, he and Albus Dumbledore made eye contact silently for a second. Albus Dumbledore started to lower his attitude and asks Severus Snape for mercy as if he were begging to Severus Snape.
Severus Snape notices Draco Malfoy couldn’t murder Albus Dumbledore. Severus Snape fires the Killing Curse onto Albus Dumbledore and Albus Dumbledore’ corpse fell out from the Astronomy Tower to the ground because of the huge impact.
Harry Potter couldn’t believe his eyes as Severus Snape murdered Albus Dumbledore and he flees grabbing Draco Malfoy.
Pursuit of the Death Eaters on the run - Battle of the Astronomy Tower
After Harry Potter was freed from the full-body-bind curse, he went after the Death Eaters on the run. Already the Death Eaters were engaging with members of the Order of the Pheonix.
Members such as Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks and even Bill Weasley arrived(not in the movie) While the battle grew intense, Harry chased the Death Eaters including Severus Snape and Draco Malfoy around Hagrid’s cottage. Hagrid’s cottage caught fire and it started to burn.
During the battle, Bill Weasley was severely injured by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback(not in the movie, this comes out in the first of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows just as a throwback).

Duel of Harry Potter and Severus Snape & Severus Snape reveals he is the Half-Blood Prince
Severus Snape lets Draco Malfoy run away and duels with Harry Potter after Harry Potter taunted Snape a coward. Severus Snape would be on the run the whole time but started to duel Harry Potter the moment he heard the word ‘coward’. Severus Snape easily deflects all of Harry Potter’s spells.
Severus Snape ordered all the rest of the Death Eaters to retreat as well. In the movie Severus Snape urges the Death Eaters that Harry Potter should be spared for Voldemort himself.
Severus Snape easily suppresses Harry Potter after Harry Potter attempted to use the curse Sectumsempra which was custom made by the Half-Blood-Prince who was Severus Snape.
Severus Snape reveals that the Half-Blood Prince is himself and warns Harry never call him a coward and disapparates. Harry Potter was just shocked.
Harry Potter: "Fight back!" "Fight back, you cowardly--"
Severus Snape: "Coward, did you call me, Potter?" "Your father would never attack me unless it was four on one, what would you call him, I wonder?

Severus Snape: "You dare use my own spells against me, Potter? It was I who invented them--I, the Half-Blood Prince! And you'd turn my inventions on me, like your filthy father, would you? I don't think so. . . no!"
Harry Potter " Kill me then," "Kill me like you killed him, you coward--"
Severus Snape: "DON'T--" ……"--CALL ME COWARD"
Fake Horcrux / Fake Slytherin Locket and R.A.B
Harry Potter was shocked but helped Hagrid take off the fire on Hagrid’s hut. Harry Potter picks up Slytherin’s Locket, that cost Albus Dumbledore his life as he weakened himself on Cave Island Harry Potter collapsed as he saw a note by a mysterious person named R.A.B and realized that the locket that cost Dumbledore’s life was a fake.

Funeral & the White Tomb of Albus Dumbledore
All classes and exams were called off. The only person that could rival Voldemort, Albus Dumbledore has passed aways on the grounds of Hogwarts.
Now the whole British wizardry world was shivering in fear as the Death of Albus Dumbledore proved no one, no where is safe from the Death Eaters.
Although no headmaster nor headmistress were buried on Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Ministry of Magic permitted Albus Dumbledore’s burial on Hogwarts as his wishes.
The merpeople and centaurs attended Dumbledore’s funeral where even Crabbe and Goyle showed their remorse. Madame Olympe Maxime from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic also attended while Cornelius Fudge, Rufus Scrimgeour, Dolores Umbridge and even Percy Weasley from the Ministry of Magic attended the funeral.
Rubeus Hagrid who was one of the closest person to Albus Dumbledore carried the corpse of Albus Dumbledore into the ‘White Tomb’. Albus Dumbledore rested in peace in the ‘White Tomb’.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore’s tomb, the White Tomb was located nearby the Black Lake or the Great Lake on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
