Rescue of Frodo and Sam by the eagles and Gandalf
As the earth of Mordor rumbled and volcanoes burst with flames and lava, Frodo and Sam were stuck in the middle of Mordor at the foot of Mount Doom.
The great eagles led by Gwahir the great eagle lord searched and found Frodo and Sam. The eagles rescued Frodo and Sam and landed them in the Ithilien region where they recover.
Resistance of the forces of Mordor and the Battle of Dale
The easterlings have invaded Dale and the dwarf kingdom Erebor and the humans of Dale allied to resist against the easterlings. During the Battle of Dale, Dain Ironfoot and Bard lost their lives and the dwarves and humans faced heavy casualties.
However, after the destruction of the One Ring and the victory of the Battle of the Morannon, the easterlings were pushed back to the east and fled.
Battle under the Trees and the cleansing of Dol Guldur
The orcs and Easterlings of Dol Guldur have invaded the Woodland Relam of Thranduil in Mirkwoods and Lothlorein.
However, Thranduil and the elves of Mirkwoods defeated the orcs as well as Celeborn and Galadriel warded off the orc invasions at Lothlorien.
Celeborn and Galadriel would now cleanse the long-defiled lands of Dol Guldur. Dol Guldur and Mirkwoods were covered with darkness and evil ever since Sauron hid in Dol Guldur to restore power.
The darkness of mirkwoods now disappeared and mirkwoods reclaimed its name Greenwood the Great.
Crowning of Aragorn II and the Return of the king of Gondor
Faramir welcomed the victorious Army of the West and addressed Aragorn as the true king of Gondor.
Aragorn’s coronation took place where the free races of middle earth celebrated the return of the king of Gondor and Sauron’s defeat. Aragorn became the 35th king of Gondor and the 26th king of Arnor.
Aragorn was crowned as “Elessar” after the Elfstone that Galadriel has gifted him as a wedding gift for Arwen. Aragorn’s bloodline was named the House of Telcontar as Telcontar meant “Strider” in Sindarin elf language.
White Tree of Gondor
With Gandalf’s help, Aragorn found a seedling of a White Tree and planted it on Minas Tirith. The Whtie Tree of Gondor once again bloomed that symbolled the royalty and start of the House of Telcontar of Gondor.
Aragorn’s song – Oath of Elendil
The song that Aragorn sang at his coronation was the Oath of Elendil in Quenya elf language. Elendil’s Oath was Elendil’s promise that him and his heirs shall protect the justice of middle earth.
Elendil made this oath when Numenor sank to the abyss and him and the remaining descendants of Numenor arrived on Middle Earth, founding Arnor and Gondor.

Coronation of Aragorn and Kneeling to Frodo Baggins and the hobbits
In the novel there wasn’t a kneeling to Frodo and the hobbits but Aragorn insisted that Frodo should carry the crown of Gondor for the grace of Frodo’s contribution.
The dwarves from Erebor and Dale also sent messengers to celebrate Aragorn’s coronation as well as the Woodland Realm elves and the elves from Rivendell and Lothlorien.
Faramir and Eowyn were present as well as Eomer of Rohan at Aragorn’s crowning. In the movie, Aragorn approaches Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Bradnybuck and Peregrin Took, the four hobbits and thank them for their bravery that saved middle earth.
All the crowds also bow to Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin.
Aragorn, king of the Reunited Kingdom of Arnor and Gondor
Elrond presented the Scepter of Annuminas, an heirloom of Elendil that officially recognized Aragorn as the king of Gondor and Arnor. The Realm of the Exile Numenor of Arnor and Gondor were reunited once more by Aragorn, king Elessar.
Aragorn restored the old territories of Arnor in Eriador with Gondor and formed the new Reunited Kingdom. The Shire was granted autonomy and the lands of course excluded Rohan.
Aragorn and Arwen’s wedding
In the movie Arwen was present at Aragorn’s coronation while in the novel, Arwen arrives at Minas Tirith later.
Finally, Aragorn married Arwen where they had three children a son named Eldarion and two more daughters those names were unknown.
