Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry’s return to the Shire
In the novel, Saruman formed a gang under the name Sharkey at the Shire to avenge himself on the hobbits. Frodo and Sam defeated Saruman and Saruman was killed by Grima.
Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry finally arrive at the Shire after the destruction of the One Ring and Sauron.
Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins’s journey to Valinor
After the destruction of the One Ring, Bilbo Baggins along with Frodo Baggins and Gandalf headed to the Grey Havens to set sail to Valinor.
Frodo Baggins gave the Red Book or the Red Book of Westmarch that had the history of middle earth written that Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins have worked on.
Frodo Baggins was granted access to Valinor as Arwen gave up immortality and gave her privilege to Frodo.
Frodo Baggins couldn’t stay on middle earth for long because of the Morgul Wound he got from the Witch King of Angmar at Weather top. Along with Elrond, Gandalf and Galadriel, Frodo and Bilbo Baggins headed to Valinor at the Grey Havens.
Samwise Gamgee’s achievements in Lord of the Rings
Sam, Samwise Gamgee first joined Frodo as Gandalf scolded him for listening over their conversation over the One Ring.
Sam accompanied Frodo Baggins and assisted him since they’ve parted from the Fellowship of the Ring at Amon Hen.
Sam and Frodo along with Gollum headed to Mordor to destroy the One Ring.
Sam had to pick up Frodo several times and even rescue him at the Tower of Cirith Ungol. With Sam’s critical assistance, Frodo Baggins successfully destroyed the One ring at Moun Doom.
Samwise Gamgee’s life after the destruction of the One Ring
Sam, Samwise Gamgee married another hobbit, Rosie Cotton and had thirteen children. Sam would plant the seed of the Mallorn Tree that he received from Galadriel as a gift where the golden trees would grow in the Shire.
Sam parted with Frodo Baggins as Frodo headed to Valinor and received the Red Book of the Westmarch that Frodo and Bilbo worked on.
Sam would finish the stories of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ in the Red Book.
Samwisge Gamgee was also granted permission to enter Valinor, the continent of Aman where the Valars dwelled as Sam was also one of the ring bearers. He would meet Frodo once more at Valinor.
Merry, Merriadoc Brandybuck’s achievements in Lord of the Rings
The smartest among the four hobbits and Pippin’s cousin Merry, Merriadoc Brandybuck joined Frodo for his curiosity. Merry became part of the Fellowship of the Ring and he was kidnapped together with Pippin at Amon Hen by the Uruk-hai of Saruman.
Merry left a trail so Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas the three hunters could follow them. Merry then with Pippin contributed to the Last March of the Ent and took down Saruman’s Isengard infrastructure.
Merry became the esquire of Theoden, a knight of Rohan and secretly joined Eowyn and participated in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields as one of the Rohirrim knights.
Merry stabbed the Witch King of Angmar that gave Eowyn a chance to slay the Witch King of Angmar where together they’ve killed the undying Witch King of Angmar.
Merry, Merriadoc Brandybuck’s life after the destruction of the One Ring
Merry married a hobbit named Estella and a as a hobbit of royalty, he became a noble and wrote several historic works.
After Estella’s death, Merry was invited by Eomer and visited Rohan and stayed at Edoras until Eomer’s death.
Merry would then travel to Gondor together with Pippin. Later Merry was buried in Rath Dinen, the tombs of the kings of Gondor alongside Aragorn king Elessar.
Pippin, Peregrin Took’s achievements in Lord of the Rings
Pippin, Peregrin Took the rather brave or reckless hobbit joined Frodo as he was curious of the stories he overheard with Pippin. Pippin knocked out a skeleton at Moria that alerted the goblins.
Pippin was kidnapped by the uruk-hai with Merry at Amon Hen and arrived at the Fangorn Forest where they befriended the ent Treebeard. Together at the Last March of the Ents, Pippin helped claim Isengard from Saruman with the ents.
Pippin confronted Sauron by the Palantir that confused Sauron that Pippin had the One Ring. Gandalf would take Pippin to Minas Tirith to protect him and keep an eye on him from doing anything reckless.
Pippin became a guard of the Citadel by Denethor 2nd.
In the movie, Pippin put on the fire on the beacons of Amon Din. Pippin would rescue Faramir from Denethor 2nd from burning him alive as well and helped the Gondor troops during the Siege of Minas Tirith. Pippin even joined the Battle of the Morannon.
Pippin, Peregrin Took’s life after the destruction of the One Ring
Pippin became the thain of the Shire, the representative of the Shire and became a counsellor for Arnor by Aragorn(king Elessar).
Pippin would gather historic information of Numenor, Elendil and the old Arnor and contributed to the establishment and settlement of the restored kingdom of Arnor.
Pippin joined Merry’s journey to Rohan where they’ve visited Eomer, the king of Rohan and moved to Gondor. Pippin was also buried in Rath Dinen alongside Aragorn who died later.
