Witchking of Angmar’s return to Mordor
The Witch-king of Angmar after losing the Angmar War would reappear at Mordor. The Witchking of Angmar would assemble all the other eight nazguls at Mordor and became the lord of the nazguls.
The Witch-king of Angmar thought he has successfully cut off the lineage of Elendil and Isildur while he wasn’t aware of that Aranarth, the son of Arvedui from Arnor and Firiel from Gondor survived.
Aranarth would become the Chieftain of the Dunedains and would send his descendants to Rivendell for both protection and mentorship of Elrond and the elves.
Yet the Witch-king of Angmar at Mordor now plots to cutoff the blood line of Anarion and the kings’ kin of Gondor.
Downfall of Khazad-dum and the balrog Durin’s Bane
Durin the 6th was ruling the dwarf kingdom Khazad-dum that was in great prosperity by the mithril mines, however the dwarves didn’t know that there was a balrog that was sleeping in the Misty Mountains and accidentally woke it up.
The balrog would slay Durin the 6th and eventually slay Nain the 1st who was Durin the 6th’s son.
The balrog seemed to be one of the remaining balrogs that fled during the War of the Wrath during the First Age and was called the Bane of Durin after it slayed Durin the 6th.
The dwarves of Khazad-dum couldn’t defeat the balrog and eventually had to evacuate the prosperous dwarf kingdom of Khazad-dum. Later the orcs would swarm the remnants of Khazad-dum secretly by Sauron and Khazad-dum would now become called Moria.
Missing of Amroth the elf king of Lothlorien and Nimrodel
After the death of elf king Amdir of Lorien during the War of the Last Alliance of Elves and Men, Amroth has ruled the elves of Lorien(Lothlorien), the golden forests.
Amroth fell in love with the Silvan elf that used to live in the golden forest named Nimrodel. After Lothlorien supported the Angmar wars, Nimrodel would burst into anger with resent against the Sindar elves and Noldor elves for bringing war to Middle Earth.
Amroth promised Nimrodel peace and decided to set for Valinor with Nimrodel. However, Amroth and Nimrodel parted at the White Mountains when they journeyed to the Bay of Belfalas to set for Valinor.
Amroth arrived at the Bay of Belfalas first where he met other elves that were to set sail for Valinor. Amroth would wait for Nimrodel and held the elves from setting sail on the boat.
As time flowed, when Amroth was asleep, the elves started to set for Valinor away from the coasts of Belfalas.
Amroth woke up and jumped into the sea as he longed for Nimrodel and Amroth was never to be discovered again. Nimrodel after resting at a river near Pealrgir fell into sleep and woke up after a long time.
She found no ships at the bay of Belfalas and neither did she find Amroth and she went missing after then. The people of Gondor at the Belfalas Bay would name their city Dol Amroth after the tragedy of Amroth the king of Lothlorien.
Celeborn and Galdriel’s ruling of Lothlorien
After the mysterious missing of Nimrodel and Amroth, the elves of Lothlorien would invite Celeborn and Lady Galadriel to Lothlorien and addressed them as their new lords. Galadriel would plant Mallorn trees that only grew in Valinor in Lothlorien and would make the Golden Forests of Lothlorien even brighter.
v
Galadriel would use the leaves of the Mallorn tree to wrap the lembas which she knew the recipe of as she had learned from her apprenticeship under the Maia Melian at Doriath.
Founding of Erebor and the discovery of the Arkenstone
Thrain 1st the first led the dwarves to the Lonely Mountains and founded the country of Erebor. Erebor was located at the northeast side of Rhovanion and east of the Mirkwoods.
Thrain the 1st was the grandson of Durin 6th and the son of Nain the 1st that were both killed by the balrog Durin’s Bane.
Thrain founded the Kingdom under the Mountain in Erebor and while the dwarves developed Erebor, the Arkenstone was discovered.
Thrain the 1st would make Arkenstone the heirloom of the Durin’s Folk and proof as the dwarf king heir.
Gondor’s defeat at Minas Ithil and Minas Morgul
The Witchking of Angmar assembled the nazguls, the ring wraiths and the dark creatures and orcs to commence attack on Minas Ithil.
Gondor has already pulled off many forces from Mordor as they couldn’t recover from their losses during the Great Plague, war against the wainriders and the Angmar conflict.
Minas Ithil was overrun by the forces commanded by the Witch-King of Angmar and the Witch-King of Angmar even took over most of the lands of Ithilien.
The Witch-king of Angmar would now fortify Minas Ithil and started to dwell in Minas Ithil. As Minas Ithil, the sacred fortress where Isildur first created would now become called Minas Morgul which means a tower of dark magic.
The Palantir of Minas Ithil also fell into the hands of the Witch-King of Angmar. The Witch-King of Angmar would later present the Palantir of Minas Ithil to Sauron which Sauron would later use the Palantir of Minas Ithil to corrupt Saruman.
Earnur, the 33rd king of Gondor and the last of the Anarion’s bloodline
Earnur the prince that led the forces of Gondor against Angmar was crowned the 33rd king of Gondor. Earnur would become the last king of Gondor where the age of the Ruling Stewards would begin.
Earnur held a grudge against the Witchking of Angmar after the Witch-King of Angmar has humiliated Earnur as the Witchking of Angmar fled.
The Witch-king of Angmar would use this grudge against Earnur and manipulate Earnur the king of Gondor so the Witch-king of Angmar could end the blood line of Anarion as well.
Challenge by the Witch-king of Angmar and missing of Earnur, the king of Gondor
The Witch-King of Angmar would taunt and provoke Earnur, the king of Gondor to challenge. Mardil, the head of the council and steward would persuade Earnur and Earnur abided by the advice of Mardil.
Yet, after the second challenge sent by the Witch-king of Angmar, the king of Gondor Earnur couldn’t resist himself and headed to Minas Morgul to challenge the Witch-king of Angmar without an heir.
Earnur went missing and the blood line of Anarion was cutoff except for the descendants of Aranarth that were now hiding their identities as the rangers of the north. The Witch-King of Angmar was successful in almost annihilating the blood line of Elendil, Anarion and Isildur.
The Ruling Stewards of Gondor
Mardil would become the ruling steward of Gondor and the ages of the Ruling Stewards began. There was no official king of Gondor until the Aragorn claimed his crown after the victory of the War of the Ring.
The people of Gondor also acknowledged Mardil as the ruling steward as Mardil’s family was the closest with the Numenorean lineage.
Mardil’s family was called the Family of Hurin although they weren’t a direct descendant of the edain human hero Hurin during the first ages, their family named after him.
Mardil would first change Minas Anor’s name finally into Minas Tirith to stand against Minas Morgul as Minas Tirith means the tower of the watch or the tower of the guard.
Changing the name of Minas Anor to Minas Tirith showed the will of the ruling stewards to avenge the kings of Gondor.
