Why did the Congress invite Ian Malcolm to testify for dinosaur protection

Ian Malcolm testifies at the US congress committee on the legislation of a dinosaur protection act due to the volcanic eruption of Mt. Sibo. Ian Malcolm was one of the most famous authors due to Jurassic Park and Jurassic World as he was the first person ever to publish a book about the Jurassic Park Incident.

Ian Malcolm broke the Confidentiality Containment Agreement with InGen after the first Jurassic Park Incident as he believed that InGen’s ‘play of God’ was too dangerous.

Ian Malcolm was denounced by the media and considered crazy by the public as InGen denied the existence of dinosaurs. After the San Diego Incident, Ian Malcolm became a bestselling author thanks for him first exposing Jurassic Park.

Ian Malcolm’s focus of his books was the unprecedented consequences of the revival of dinosaurs and the dangers of trying to control the uncontrollable life.

Dr. Ian Malcolm’s perspective focused on the consequences that the survival of the dinosaurs could happen if they take off from the island Isla Nubalr. Dr. Ian Malcolm asserts that the fall of Jurassic Park could mark the start of ‘Jurassic World’ as dinosaurs will now take over the world if they leave the island.

Ian Malcolm’s Testament at the Congress Committee for Dinosaur Protection of the eruption of Mount Sibo

Ian Malcolm unlike the public’s expectation stated that the dinosaurs shouldn’t be rescued due to the consequences that they could bring to the human society. Dr. Ian Malcolm asserts that the genetic biotechnology that was involved in bringing back the extinct dinosaurs have gone totally out of control.

He exerts this point that this isn’t limited merely to the dinosaurs but it is a general fact that humans cannot control the consequences of technology.

Dr. Ian Malcolm brings the example of the development of nuclear energy which led to the Nuclear Proliferation which means the increase of nuclear weapons all over the world.

Dr. Ian Malcolm who has witnessed how dinosaurs could overcome the control methods and limits that the scientists have put explains that a new era would come and dinosaurs unlike humans are natural born survivalists that could adapt to any kind of environment.

Dr. Ian Malcolm points that humans are resistant to change and humans are a species that wouldn’t even realize ‘change’ until death. He ends his statement by making an irony from John Hammond’s famous first words ‘Welcome to Jurassic Park’ that saving dinosaurs would lead to a new world, that ‘Welcome to Jurassic World’.

In his perspective, saving dinosaurs would have meant the end of the human’s reign, the true Fallen Kingdom rather than the island of dinosaurs being destroyed.

Dr. Ian Malcolm’s Quotes

Life can not be contained. Life breaks free. Life... finds a way.

These creatures were here before us and, if we're not careful, they're gonna be here after.

Change is like death. You don't know what it looks like until you're standing at the gates.

Humans and dinosaurs are now gonna be forced to co-exist.

Ian Malcolm’s final Quotes in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

"How many times do you have to see the evidence?! How many times must the point be made? We're causing our own extinction. Too many red lines have been crossed and our home, in many fundamental ways, has been polluted by...avarice...And political megalomania. Genetic power has now been unleashed and, of course, that's going to be catastrophic. This change was inevitable from the moment we brought the first dinosaur back from extinction. We convince ourselves that change is something that happens outside of the natural order of things like a car crash. Or that it's beyond our control like a fatal illness. We don't concieve of sudden, rapid, radical, irrational change change as woven into the very fabric of existence. Yet I can assure you, it most assuredly is. And it's happening now. Humans and dinosaurs are now going to be forced to coexist. These creatures were here before us and if we're not careful they're going to be here after. We're going to have to adjust to new threats we can't even imagine. We've entered a new era. Welcome, to Jurassic World."

Benjamin Lockwood and John Hammond – Why did they break off

Sir Benjamin Lockwood and John Hammond were good friends and business partners who have dreamed of reviving dinosaurs back to life. Even Sir Benjamin Lockwood’s own daughter Charlotte Lockwood has joined their ambitions to bring dinosaurs back to life. John Hammond and Benjamin Lockwood has hired scientists like Dr. Henry Wu and started their initial research in the Lockwood Manor.

The initial team of InGen successfully cloned an elephant and starts to genetically engineer the dinosaur DNA obtained from the mosquito amber fossil samples.

After success from genetically engineering the dinosaur genetic information with other animal genetic information, InGen was founded and the ambitions for Jurassic Park started to accelerate. However, after the Jurassic Park Incident,

John Hammond discovers that Benjamin Lockwood and Charlotte Lockwood has been working humans with the genetic engineering technology used to revive the dinosaurs.

John Hammond breaks off with Benjamin Lockwood after John Hammond was already terrified of what dinosaurs that he created could do to people but at the same time terrified at Benjmain Lockwood and Charlotte Lockwood on what they’ve done on humans. However, this setting of Jurassic World has been constantly changing and there are many errors and constant revisions of the settings.
