Battle of Corrin - 108 BG ~ 88 BG

Ominus and the Synchronized Empire’s army weren’t aware that the Omnius Scourge by the Omnius virus’s outbreak has halted due to Melange spice’s effect.

The Synchronized Empire were planning on the campaign to destroy Salusa Secundus which was the core planet for the League of Nobles.

 

 

On the meantime, the League of Nobles planned a massive nuclear weapon attack on the Synchronized Empire territories. Even at the cost of the billion lives of enslaved humans, the League of Nobles commenced atomics (nuclear weapon) attacks and destroyed the thinking machine’s territories.

The atomic attacks were delivered by the Foldspace Shipping Company members as these held the secret to twist the dimension of space and time and ‘fold space’.

The secret of course was the power of prescience, which is an ability to fore see the past, present and future thanks to Melange Spice.

 

 

However, despite the massive galactic scale atomic weapon attack, the planet Corrin which was one of the core planets of the Synchronized Empire stood unharmed.

The Synchornized Empire and the League of Nobles eventually clash in the planet Corrin. The Omnius itself held the defense of the Synchronized Empire on Corrin and armies from both sides assembled on the Battle of Corrin.

 

 

The victor of the Battle of Corrin shall have the cutting edge of the wars. Under leadership of Faykan Butler who would later become the founder of House Corrino along with Vorian Atreides’s tactics the Lauge of Nobles achieves victory on the battle grounds of Corrin and destroys the Omnius itself.

The Omnius at the final moment send a secret backup-transmission.

 

 

Atreides-Harkonnen Feud

The leader of House Atreides, Vorian Atreides filed an official suit against Abulurd Butler who later names himself Abulurd Harkonnen. Unlike the House Hakronnen’s nature in the Dune novel, the Harkonnen family members were willing to be branded a stigma for a good cause.

For example, Abulurud Harkonnen’s grandfather Xavier Harkonnen was branded a traitor, but Xavier Harkonnen’s actions were a misunderstanding that was covered up by a few including Vorian Atreides to prevent the League of Nobles from fracturing.

During the battle of Corrin, Vorian Atreides thought the sacrifice of the enslaved humans used as shields by the Synchronized Empire was inevitable.

However, Abulurd Harkonnen disagreed and attempted to rescue the captives by temporarily deactivating the League of Nobles’s fleet. Vorian Atreides was furious and filed a suit against Abulurd Harkonnen.

 

 

The extenuation of Abulurd Harkonnen was taken but still Abulurd Harkonnen was sentenced exile from the military. Abulurd Hakronnen later dies of fever that the Harkonnen House accuses Abulurd Harkonnen’s conspiracy to wipe out the Harkonnen House. This Atreides-Harkonnen Feud starts the long-lasting rivalry between both families.

Assembly of House Corrino and the Corrino Empire – 88 BG

Faykan Butler, the viceroy of the League of Nobles was praised as the ‘Hero of the Jihad’. Although Thinking Machines still remained, the victory on Corrin was crucial for the victory of mankind against the Thinking Machines. Faykan Bulter renames him as Faykan Corrino commemorating the victory of the Battle of Corrin.

 

 

Faykan Bulter becomes the founder of House Corrino. The League of Nobles is also reorganized into the Landsraad. The Landsraad acknowledges the nobility of Faykan Corrino and crowns him as the emperor of the universe.

House Corrino becomes the imperial family while Faykan Corrino becomes the first padishah emperor of the Corrino Empire. Around 87 BG, the last of the neo-cymexs masses were destroyed. Still there were remnants of Thinking machines, however, organize resistance is all subdued.

 

 

During the war against the Thinking Machines, earth was destroyed, and demand of a new religion grew. Based on all the religious idioms from earth combined with human centered ideology and anti-thinking machine, anti-computer beliefs, the Orange Catholic Bible becomes the official religion testament of the Corrino Empire.

The Orange Catholic Bible was encouraged by all parties. The Bene Gesserit thought that a universal belief of divine’s existence would help their Kwisatz Haderach project.

 

 

Formation of the Spacing Guild – 1 BG ~ 1 AG

The Foldspace Shipping Company played a major part in the Butlerian Jihad. The Foldspace Shipping Company was granted monopoly of space travel and interstellar travel.

The Foldspace Shipping Company is reorganized as the Spacing Guild and in commemoration of this the Dune Universe uses the date of the Spacing Guild’s birth as the calendar standard Before Guild BG and After Guild AG.

 

 

Spacing Guild would use special spices such as Melange spcie to enhance their prescience abilities to see the past, preset, and future which helped humans replace computer or thinking machine technologies while travel space without harm.

The sorceress parties took part in the Butlerian Jihad and plan to compile genetics of the major households of the Landsraad for the birth of the Kwisatz Haderach. Around 25 BG, these sorceresses call themselves the Bene Gesserit. The CHOAM(Combine Honnete Ober Advancer Mercantiles) is given monopoly on commerce, banking and merchant activities.

 

 

The Great Convention – 100 AG

The Great Convention between the High Council of the Landsraad, Spacing Guild and the Corrino emperor is settled. After the bloody tragedy of the war against Thinking Machines, the Great Convention acknowledged each party’s role and disbands any usage of atomics or nuclear weapons. The Great Convention states immediate actions to be taken for any usage of atomics.

 

 

House Harkonnen is granted command of Arrakis - 10112 AG

With contracts with the CHOAM, House Harkonnen is granted command of the planet Arrakis. Arrakis is the only planet that could produce Melange Spice. Although there is a mandatory quota to mine, Melange spice was the most precious material in the whole universe and House Harkonnen controls the supply of Melange spice and slowly gains power.

 

 

House Atreides is given stewardship of Arrakis – 10191 AG
