300x250

John Wick’s car – Mustang, Boss 429 manufactured in 1969

Nobody should harm John Wick’s car or puppy. The prized car of John Wick is a Boss 429 Mustang manufactured by the American motor company Ford.

The Boss 429 is one of the iconic muscle cars which is a car made with two car doors and have at least an 8-piston engine (The Boss 429 has a V8 engine).

Only about 800 of the Boss 429 Mustangs were produced in 1969 and 500 were produced in 1970 which made it a rare variety.

Currently, Ford Classic Recreations take orders to manufacture this beautiful muscle car. As the Boss 429 Mustang is such a rare but beautiful muscle car, enthusiasts were very eager to collect one.

Iosef Tarasov must have had his eyes and would have been eager to harm anyone as he spotted this car which unfortunately happened to be of John Wick’s possession and one of few things that John Wick actually had attachment.

The filming location of the New York Continental Hotel in real life

The New York Continental Hotel was filmed on the 1st Wall Street Court on a building nicknamed the ’Beaver Building’. The Beaver Building used to hold the New York Cocoa Exchange and its address is 82 Beaver St, New York, NY 10005 USA.

For those who would want to see the New York Continental Hotel, would only have to type in this address.

The building isn’t a hotel and on the first floor, you wouldn’t find Charon the concierge but a Japanese sushi restaurant named Haru Sushi (Currently, Haru Sushi is also out of business)

Marcus – Willem James Dafoe

Despite all the friends and associates of John Wick, the only person that would actually pay condolence to death of Hellen Wick, John Wick’s wife was Marcus acted by Willem James Dafoe.

This is rather because nobody expected the John Wick series would expand and become so successful in real life.

From sergeant Elias in the movie Platoon, to the Green Goblin/Norman Osborne and the chairman of the Osborne Group in the Spiderman series, Willem Dafoe has acted in so many diverse roles throughout his career.

The detective in the American Psycho and as Aqua man’s mentor Vulko, and as Vincent Van Gogh in the movie At Eternity’s Gate where Willem Dafoe has won his Venice award, Willem Dafoe has been such a pleasure for cinema fans.

Aurelio – John Alberto Leguizamo

The names Marcus and Aurelio is another Greek-Roman reference of the famous emperor Marcus Aurelio. Aurelio is the person who got the Mustang Boss 429 69 to John Wick.

Aurelio is also the first person who lets the viewers know that John Wick is not an ordinary person as he strikes Tarasov after recognizing John Wick’s car.

John Leguizamo plays Aurelio and John Leguizamo has been a familiar cast in many films as well. John Leguizamo acted the original Luigi of the film Mario.

He also acted as the antagonist the Violator in the movie Spawn. Probably the most unusual but most familiar character that John Leguizamo acted would be Sid or Sidney the land slot in the Ice Age series.

Vigo Tarasov – Rolf Åke Mikael Nyqvist

Unfortunately, Mikael Nyqvist who played Vigo Tarasov who was the boss of the Tarasov Red Mafia passed away on 27th June 2017. May he rest in peace.

Mikael Nyqvist was a Swedish actor who acted in many television series in Sweden. He appeared in American Hollywood movies such as the main antagonist Cobolt in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol as a mad nuclear physicist.

He also acted as the Russian captain Sergei Andropov of the Russian Akula-class submarine RFS Konek(Russian Federal Navy).

Miakel Nyqvist started to expand his career in the Hollywood film industry but unfortunately passed away which is a great loss to all. May he rest in peace once again.

John Wick series and the cross reference of the Matrix series

Some people believe in a conspiracy theory that the John Wick series is actually another parallel world within the Matrix with Neo actually being John wick.

People assume that John Wick wants to exit the world of outlaws so much because it is a part of his instincts to escape the Matrix. Although this seems like a silly assumption, there are actually so many connections with the Matrix series that this assumption cannot be neglected.

The director of the John Wick series is Chad Stahelski who was the actual stuntman with Keanu Reeves during the Matrix series.

John Wick is a very silent man but he asks for ‘Guns. Lots of Guns’ during the film just like how Neo said ‘Guns. Lots of Guns’ before he was about to rescue Morpheus. This was a great reference from the Matrix series.

Also, Kirill who was the head of the Tarasov family’s guards is a very familiar face from the Matrix series as well. Kirill was one of the deadliest killers among the whole John Wick universe as John Wick wasn’t able to kill him upon the first encounter.

Daniel Bernhardt who acts as Kirill is Agent Johnson from the Matrix series. Many people wouldn’t recognize all the agents from the Matrix because of their fixed suit outfits and Agent Smith by Hugo Weaving was such a huge character.

However, Agent Johnson was one of those who does show much more presence than the other agents as he put Neo into a crisis.

Later on in John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, unlike Morpheus giving Neo a choice to choose the red pill or the blue pill, John Wick gives Bowery King a choice to rather hold his wounds and survive or try to pull of the knife on his neck and try to kill John wick.

Also, the ‘Doctor’ throughout the whole John Wick series is also a familiar face from the Matrix. Randall Duk Kim plays the doctor in John Wick and he also acted the ‘Keymaker’ in the Matrix 2 Reloaded.

No wonder there would be such a conspiracy theory that the John Wick universe is another parallel world within the Matrix.

The policeman Jimmy – Thomas Sadoski

One of the most surprising scenes but also a very informative scene would be policeman Jimmy paying a visit to John Wick’s house after all the mass murder happening.

The policeman Jimmy stops by and treats the homicides as a usual day for John Wick.

This may look silly but also comprehensively explains a lot about the John Wick universe that it is strictly divided from the real normal world. Thomas Sadoski plays the role of Jimmy.

Thomas Sadoski played Don Keefer in the HBO drama series ‘The Newsroom’.

In South Korea, for those who have a good partner, people say they should pay more tax. Thomas Sadoski is one of those who should pay more tax as he is the husband of Amanda Seyfried.

Thomas Sadoski and Amanda Seyfried have a daughter and living very happily.

Addy – Bridget Catherine Regan

It was a very short scene but Addy who gave John Wick where Iosef Tarasov was located was played Bridget Regan who also acted as Rebecca Lowe in the television series White Collar Dottie Underwood in the Agent Carter television series.

She also played the role of Kahlan Amnell in the Legned of Seeker television series.

Iosef Tarsov - Alfie Evan Allen

Alfie Allen is the brother of the British pop star Lily Allen who is famous for her Alright, Still album and songs such as Smile and Not Fair.

The song Alfie of Lily Allen’s album Alright Still is actually named after Alfie Allen. Alfie Allen showed up in films such as The Predator, JoJo Rabbit but he is recognized most for his role as Theon Greyjoy the Ghost of Winterfell in the Game of Thrones television series.

Unlike major characters that deceased with a short appearance Theon Greyjoy was a character that would build up his character as a rude and profligate man to a respectful character that would raise the Greyjoy family.

Ms. Perkins – Adrianne Palicki

Adrianne Palicki acts as Ms. Perkins who was a daring assassin trying to conduct business on Continental grounds on the John Wick. Adrianne Palicki acts as Tyra Collette in Friday Night Lights and acts as Lady Jay om the film G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

Francis - Kevin Nash

Wrestling fans would have recognized who Francis who was the guard that John Wick actually conversates and allows to walk away is Kevin Nash.

The body count in John Wick Chapter 1

Although the criteria of whether a person was killed solely by John Wick might be subjective, the body count John Wick chapter 1 is 77 people. Thus, during the 101 minutes of John Wick chapter 1, an average of a minute and 18 seconds, one person is killed in the film.

The guns and fire arms of John Wick in John Wick Chapter 1 feat. Markus’s rifle

Heckler & Koch P30L

The P30 is an automatic pistol that uses 9mm magazines which is a shorter variant of the P30L. The P30L which L stands for ‘Long’ has a longer barrel than the P30 that is manufactured by the German arms company H&K (Heckler & Koch)

Glock 26

The Glock series are manufactured by the Austrian arms company Glock. The Glock 26 is also nicknamed as the ‘Baby Glock’ due to its very small size. It is easy to hide a Glock 26.

The Glock series are classified into 5 models. The most basic Standard, Competition which is a variant with a longer barrel for accuracy and used in competition, Compact which are variants smaller(shorter) than the Standard, Subcompact which are the most smallest models among the Glock series and the Slimline which use a single stack magazine.

The Glock 26 is a Subcompact model of the Glock series.

KSG/ Kel-Tec Shotgun

The American arms company Kel-Tec produced the KSG(Kel-Tech Shotgun) which John Wick captured and uses against Vigo Tarasov.

The KSG is a ‘bullpup’ shotgun. ‘Bullpup’ means that the firing grip(and the trigger) is located in front of the breech of the weapon unlike usual arsenals that have the grip behind the breech.

Thus, this design gives an arm a much longer barrel. The KSG requires training and not a common arm as it would require special parts for maintenance and there might be incidents that the user’s bodies could be placed in front of the breech. Thus, this shows how well John Wick is trained even with pecuilair weapons.

Coharie Arms CA-415

The CA-415 is a copy/licensed variant of the German H&K(Heckler & Koch) masterpiece HK416. The CA-415 is manufactured by the American arms company Coharie Arms.

The United States of America Delta Force required a shorter barrel than the standard M4 manufactured by the American arms company Colt.

Left :M4  Right : HK416

Delta Force members would collaborate with H&K and create the HK416. Originally, H&K attempted to name this arms as HK M4 or HK M4D but due to a law suit filed by the M4 manufacturer Colt, H&K would name the weapon as HK416 after the M4 and M16

. People suggest that John Wick’s excellency of the HK416 and John Wick’s tattoo Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat is due to John Wick’s experience in the U.S. marine corps which uses the HK416 as the standard rifle.

John Wick’s arms has CA-415 written on so people could easily recognize that t is the CA-415 variant rather than other HK416 variants.

CA--415

Ruger M77 – The rifle Markus uses

This is not a misspelled version of the German Luger and this rifle has nothing to do with a Luger. The Ruger M77 is a bolt-action rifle that uses a 30-06 Springfield, 7.62 x 63mm bullet manufactured by the American arms company Strum, Ruger & Co.

Designs of M77 did have a reference of the German arms company Mauser. The M77 has an exceptional accuracy and an easy weapon to maintain which makes it a popular weapon.
