Corban Yaxley was also one of the Death Eaters that infiltrated Hogwarts and fought in the Battle of the Astronomy Tower where he was arrested as he failed to escape.
In the novel, Corban Yaxley successfully puts Pius Thicknesse under the Imperius Curse and contributed to the takeover of the Ministry of Magic. Corban Yaxley threatened Ron as Ron was disguised as Reginald Cattermole for Mary Cattermole who was Reginald’s wife was being interrogated as she was suspected as a muggle born.
When the trio intercepted Slytherin’s Locket and tried to escape, Corban Yaxley caught up with them in the floo network. Corban Yaxley heavily injured Ron Weasley and broke through the fidelius charm on 12 Grimmauld Place so the trio couldn’t return to 12 Grimmauld Place.
Magic is Might

In the novel, Pius Thicknesse was under the Imperius Curse but in the movie, he voluntarily worked for Voldemort. Voldemort’s and the Ministry of Magic’s motto became ‘Magic is Might’.
The floo network and apparition were more strictly controlled and the newly formed Muggle-Born Registration Commission would prosecute muggle-born, blood traitors and other enemies of Voldemort. Snatchers were constantly capturing those on the bingo-book.
