Duel at the Luchino Café at Tottenham Court Road
Tottenham Court Road is an actual road located in the center of London, Great Britain. After the Death Eaters infiltrated into Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley’s wedding, Ron, Hermione and Harry take cover at the Tottenham Court Road.
In the movie, the trio apparates to a different location. The trio changes clothes which they originally had for the wedding.
The trio sits at the Luchino Café to take a breath but they accidentally said Voldemort. Voldemort had a taboo on his name so whoever says his name could be tracked. Antonin Dolohov and Thorfinn Rowle disguised as workers ambushed the trio at the Luchino Café.
The trio successfully ward off Thorfinn Rowle and Antonin Dolohov. Instead of killing them, they erased the memories of the Death Eaters and headed to 12 Grimmauld Place.
12 Grimmuald Place and the identity of R.A.B
While the trio took shelter at 12 Grimmauld Place, the trio notices R.A.B written on Sirius Black’s brother Regulus Black’s room. Harry Potter realizes that R.A.B. stood for Regulus Arcturus Black who took the real Slytherin’s Locket from Horcrux Cave Island and replaced it with a note and a fake locket. Harry Potter then summons Kreacher who would have known of Regulus Arcturus Black, R.A.B..
Kreacher & the whereabouts of Slytherin’s Locket
Harry Potter interrogates Kreacher of Slytherin’s Locket as Kreacher and Harry Potter were still bit hostile to each other. Kreacher tells Harry Potter, Ron, and Hermione the truth of Slytherin’s Locket.
Regulus Arcturus Black aka R.A.B. has stolen the original Slytherin’s Locket and ordered Kreacher to destroy it. However, Mundungus Flecther stole it from Kreacher and apparently Slytherin’s Locket ended up in Dolores Umbridge’s hands.
Regulus Arcturus Black , R.A.B.
Regulus Arcturus Black was the younger brother of Sirius Black born from Orion and Walburga Black. Unlike Sirius Black who was a rebel to the Black family, Regulus Black was very loyal to his family traditions.
He was sorted into Slytherin House and played as the seeker for the Slytherin House Quidditch team during his school years.
He was a very talented wizard enough to become a Slug club member as well. Regulus Black was an admirer of Voldemort and the Death Eaters as first because he thought they would support pureblood superiority before he had to opportunity to learn how Voldemort really was.
After graduation of Hogwarts, Regulus Black became a Death Eater himself. However, Regulus Black was horrified of Voldemort and the Death Eaters and their plans.
After Voldemort’s incident with Kreacher, Regulus Black plans to take down Voldemort. However, Regulus Arcturus Black suddenly disappeared which his mother Walburga Black as moaned for years.
Even Walburga Black passed away because of the sorrows of missing Regulus Black. Somehow Kreacher was the most devastated as he lost both of his favorite beloved masters Regulus Black and Walburga Black
Voldemort and Kreacher on Horcrux Cave Island
As Voldemort asked for a houseelf, Regulus volunteered Kreacher. Voldemort took Kreacher and tested the defense measures of Horcrux Cave Island such as testing the magic boat that allowed only one wizard or witch and made Kreacher drink the Emerald Potion, the Drink of Despair.
Voldemort left Kreacher to die as he casted magic so nothing could teleport in or out of the cave island.
However, Voldemort only thought of adult wizards and witches so Kreacher survived and apparated from the cave island back to the Black Family. Kreacher was in severe pain and agony for drinking the Drink of Despair and Regulus Black was infuriated that Voldemort has done such a cruel act on Kreacher.
Regulus Black discovers that Voldemort made Horcruxes
Regulus Black thought it was strange that Voldemort was unusually obsessed with immortality. Voldemort was very arrogant and even liked to enjoy the people not understanding his intentions by slipping slight information of his secrets.
Regulus black concluded after Kreacher’s stories of the stone basin, Drink of Despair and the cave island along with the implications of Voldemort of immortality that Voldemort has created several horcruxes.
Regulus Black made up his mind that he needs to stop the terrors of Voldemort so he plots to intercept the horcrux Voldemort hid at the Cave Island.
Truth of R.A.B, Regulus Arcturus Black’s missing and death
Regulus Black took Kreacher to the Cave Island. The boat that only allows one wizard didn’t recognize Kreacher a house elf.
Also, the Cave Island could only detect apparition of wizards and witches as Voldemort neglected house-elves. Regulus Black told Kreacher several orders and Regulus Black started to drink the Emerald Potion, Drink of Despair.
Kreacher had to forcefully feed his beloved master Regulus Black because of his orders. Regulus Black swaps Slytherin’s Locket with a fake and a note. However, Regulus Black was almost near death after drinking the Drink of Despair.
Unfortunately, the inferi’s, the inferius woke up and dragged the weakened Regulus Black to the lake. Regulus Black was drowned to death by the inferius and possibly also became one of those living dead.
Kreacher apparated to 12 Grimmauld Place where he was ordered never to tell a Black family member of his final breath. Kreacher felt that misery for the rest of his life.
Last Orders of Regulus Black to Kreacher & Harry Potter
Regulus Black ordered Kreacher to destroy Slytherin’s Locket with all means and never to inform a Black Family member of his final death. Harry Potter wasn’t technically a Black Family member so Kreacher could tell the truth of Regulus Black to Harry Potter.
After hearing the whole story of Kreacher, Harry Potter felt pity for Kreacher and apologized for mistreating him.
Grudge between Harry Potter and the house-elf Kreacher
Kreacher was heavily affected by the Black Family so he openly called Ron a blood traitor and Hermione a mudblood and despised them.
Harry Potter also hated Kreacher as he was also responsible for Sirius Black’s death as he informed that Sirius black was Harry Potter’s god father and purposely confused Harry Potter of Sirius Black’s whereabouts.
However, Harry Potter realized by Hermione’s comments that Kreacher was a house-elf and it was his nature to be fond of the Black Family and Kreacher had a very soft and subtle personality so Harry and Sirius Black abusing Kreacher contributed to such a tragedy as well.
Kreacher pleads loyalty to Harry Potter
After hearing the story of Regulus Black and Kreacher, Harry started to understand why Kreacher was misbehaving the whole time.
For a house elf, mistreatment was common which Kreacher didn’t care much but Kreacher was sincerely soft and subtle.
Harry Potter realized that him and Sirius Black neglected Albus Dumbledore’s comments on treating Kreacher better. Harry Potter gave the fake Slytherin’s Locket to Kreacher and made up with Kreacher.
For Kreacher, the fake Slytherin’s Locket was master Regulus Black’s heirloom and final legacy that Kreacher could hold his memories on.
Kreacher sincerely thanked Harry Potter and started to serve him as his true master. 12 Grimmauld Place was cleaned up as soon as Kreacher started sincerely working and he started to act nicer to Hermione the ‘mudblood’ and Ron Weasley the ‘blood traitor’ as well. Kreacher also started serving hefty breakfast for the trio.
Kreacher pursuits Mundungus Fletcher
Now as Kreacher started to pledge his full loyalty to his master Harry Potter, Kreacher starts to pursuit on Mundungus Fletcher.
Kreacher had a personal grudge against Mundungus Fletcher as he robbed 12 Grimmauld Place, the Black Family’s residence constantly. After Harry Potter ordered Kreacher to capture Mundungus Fletcher, he arrives with Mundungus Fletcher after a few days.
Mundungus Fletcher
Mundungus Fletcher was a member of the first and the second Order of the Pheonix. Mundungus Flectcher was a criminal specializing in sales of stolen goods.
However, he was very loyal to Albus Dumbledore as Albus Dumbledore helped him from trouble. Mundungus Fletcher was supposed to watch over Harry during the dementor attack at Little Whinging but he was off doing business and scolded by Arabella Figg.
Mundungus Fletcher was also banned from Aberforth Dumbledore’s Hog’s Head Inn so he had to disguise himself when entering the Hogs’ Head Inn.
After Sirius Black’s death, Mundungus Fletcher has been selling items from 12 Grimmauld Place. He acted as one of the decoy Harry Potter during the Seven Potters as Mundungus Fletcher was the person who came up with the idea of the Seven Potters.
Mundungus Fletcher fled as Alastor Moody was murdered by Voldemort during the battle. Mundungus Fletcher stole Slytherin’s Locket kept by Kreacher and had to hand it over to Dolores Umbridge whom he described looked like a toad as a bribe.
Hermione, Ron, and Harry set plans to infiltrate the Ministry of Magic to obtain Slytherin’s Locket from Dolores Umbridge.
