He who must not be named returns – Aftermath of the Ministry of Magic
Right after Harry Potter resists Lord Voldemort, the employees of the Ministry of Magic started to arrive at work. Even Cornelius Fudge himself witnesses Lord Voldemort himself.
Dolores Umbridge was removed from headmistress and the Daily Prophet and the Ministry of Magic had to admit the return of Lord Voldemort. Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge lost his seat and Rufus Scrimgeour who was the Head of the Auror Office replaces Cornelius Fudge as the new Minister for Magic.
Aftermath of Department of Mysteries – Lord Voldemort and the death eaters
Only Bellatrix Lestrange was able to escape after the Department of Mysteries. The rest of the eleven death eaters including Lucius Malfoy were sent to Azkaban.
The prophecy orb of Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort was destroyed during the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. Lord Voldemort was furious that the operation failed and the prophecy sphere was permanently destroyed and accused Lucius Malfoy’s failure.
Lord Voldemort holds a g rudge against the Malfoy family for the loss of his diary Tom Riddle’s Diary and the defeat of the battel of the Department of Mysteries.
Lord Voldemort later takes over the Malfoy Manor as his headquarters, humiliates Lucius Malfoy and gives Draco Malfoy a death mission that originally Draco was supposed to fail.
Aftermath of Department of Mysteries – Harry Potter
Harry Potter was devastated and felt guilty for the death of his godfather, injuries of the Order of the Pheonix and his friends. Harry Potter was furious at Albus Dumbledore for not letting him now of the prophecy in the first place, Severus Snape for being late on the reinforcement and he was ultimately upset of himself as he felt responsible for his godfather Sirius Black’s death.
Harry Potter was also complicated after he heard of the full prophecy that he was destined to kill Lord Voldemort or be murdered by him. Confronting Lord Voldemort ultimately became the responsibility for Harry Potter.
Why was Lord Voldemort after the Prophecy in the Department of Mysteries
After Quirinus Quirrell’s body was disintegrated by Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort realizes that the ancient magic of love is protecting Harry Potter.
Lord Voldemort thought that recreating his body for his revival with Harry Potter’s blood would help him avoid the protective magic of love on Harry Potter.
After Bartemius Crouch Junior’s perfect execution of Voldemort’s plot disguised as Alastor Mad Eye Moody, Lord Voldemort resurrects with Harry Potter’s blood.
However, Lord Voldemort couldn’t kill Harry Potter as Voldemort’s wandcore and Harry Potter’s wandcore were a phoenix feather from the phoenix Fawkes possessed by Albus Dumbledore.
The twin wand core’s when casted magic against each other caused a revere-spell effect also known as Priori Incantatem or Prior Incantato.
Lord Voldemort discovers he needs a different wand to murder Harry Potter and he needs to study more on the magic casted on Harry Potter as well as study the mysterious prophecy between himself and Harry Potter.
Thus, Lord Voldemort starts to search for the prophecy between Harry Potter and Voldemort himself which was foreseen by Sybill Trelawney.
This wasn’t Lord Voldemort’s first attempt to intercept the prophecy. Augustus Rookwood was a Death Eater and an employee in the Ministry of Magic planted as a spy by Lord Voldemort to search for the prophecy and obtain information of the Ministry of Magic during the First Wizarding War.
However, Igor Karkaroff turned in Augustus Rookwood and Augustus Rookwood was sentenced for life in Azkaban not only because he was a death eater but he exposed confidential information of the Department of Mysteries.

The full name of Sybill Trelawney was Sybill Patricia Trelawney. The full name of headmaster Albus Dumbledore was Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.
All the prophecies in the Hall of Prophecy were marked with the witch or wizard that made the prophecy, the individuals involved in the prophecy and who has witnessed the prophecy.
Thus S.P.T on the prophecy orb stood for Sybill Patricia Trelawney and A.P.W.B.D stood for Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Those who weren’t involved in the prophecy touching the prophecy orb would immediately lose their mind and become insane so the death eaters of Lord Voldemort couldn’t simply grab the prophecy orb.
Why was Sybill Trelawney hired as professor of Divination
Sybill Trelawney was the descendant of Cassandra Trelawney, the great Seer who were witches or wizards with great foreseeing abilities.
Albus Dumbledore had a job application interview with expectations on Sybill Trelawney as a professor of Divination at the Hog’s Head Inn with Aberforth Dumbledore.
However, Sybill Trelawney was poorly skilled and as Albus Dumbledore was jus about to end the interview, Sybill Trelawney changes her trance and makes a prophecy of Lord Voldemort’s defeat.
Albus Dumbledore realizes the dangers that she would be and decides to hire Sybill Trelawney as professor for Divination more to protect her from Lord Voldemort and prevent him from acquiring the prophecy. Albus Dumbledore stepped in when Dolores Umbridge tried to fire Sybill Trelawney to protect the prophecy from Lord Voldmoert
Sybil Trelawney’s prophecy of Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort
The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. Sybill Trelawney’s prophecy – Fate of Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter
Unfortunately, Severus Snape overheard half of the prophecy at the Hogg’s Head Inn. Aberforth Dumbledore banishes Severus Snape but Severus Snape informs Voldemort of the prophecy.
There were only two boys that were applicable for the prophecy Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter. Neville Longbottom was born on 30 July 1980 and his parents Frank and Alice Longbottom escaped Voldemort three times.
Harry Potter was born on the 31st of July 1980 and his parents James and Lily Potter escaped Voldemort three times. Among the two boys, Lord Voldemort though his arch enemy of the prophecy would be Harry Potter as Harry Potter was a similar half-blood wizard like him while Neville Longbottom was a pure blood wizard
(The Longbottom family was also a Sacred Twenty-Eight). Eventually Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter’s destiny has crossed over by this prophecy.
Prophecy of Harry Potter and Voldemort – Snape’s defection of death eaters / Double Agent of the Order of the Pheonix
Severus Snape was originally a death eater only and he reported the prophecy to Lord Voldemort although Snape only heard half of the prophecy. However, Lily Potter was Snape’s crush and once friends.
After Snape realizes Lord Voldemort attempted to murder the Potter family, Severus Snape declares his loyalty to Albus Dumbledore and will to work as a double agent for the Order of the Pheonix in condition of Albus Dumbledore saving Lily Potter.
Severus Snape wasn’t the professor of potions yet and Albus Dumbledore hires Severus Snape as the professor for potions after Severus Snape promised his loyalty and allegiance to him.
