Beta – Velociraptor Blue’s baby
Velociraptor Blue was made from the black throated monitor lizard’s genetic information. The monitor lizard and Komodo dragons could conduct asexual reproduction called parthenogenesis. Thus, the Velociraptor Blue could reproduce without a partner thanks to the monitor lizard DNA genetic expression of this parthenogenesis. The velociraptor Blue has followed Owen Grady from a distance and eventually nested nearby his cabin in Sierra Nevada.
Dr. Henry Wu requires the velociraptor Blue or the baby Beta’s genomic information to understand the genetically modified locusts that were depleting food supplies although it is not exactly known why. Blue was kidnapped by Biosyn where it was later rescued by Owen Grady and returned to its mother Blue.
Charlotte Lockwood and Maisie Lockwood’s secret
After Maisie Lockwood was kidnapped to Biosyn Valley, Dr. Henry Wu who was a former colleague of Charlotte Lockwood tells the truth of Maisie Lockwood’s birth to her. (This seems to be a retrospective error that is frequent in the Jurassic World series.
There has been constant shifts that caused conflict due to the change of the settings) Charlotte Lockwood was a colleague of Dr. Henry Wu as a fellow researcher that worked at Jurassic Park and at the InGen Site B on Isla Sorna.
Charlotte Lockwood didn’t die in a car accident which was a cover story but rather she died due to a genetic disease. Maisie Lockwood was a clone of Charlotte Lockwood born without a partner and Charlotte Lockwood used a special pathogen to cure the genetic disease that Maisie Lockwood also had.
Due to the birth of Maisie Lockwood, the clone of Charlotte Lockwood, Dr. John Hammond disputes with Benjamin Lockwood and discontinues their partnership.
Dr. Henry Wu wanted to examine Maisie Lockwood because she had the secret scientific method of utilizing a pathogen that cured Maisie Lockwood’s genetic disease.
Dr. Henry Wu wanted to use this pathogen method to sterilize the genetic monster locusts that Biosyn created to halt the global famine the locusts could cause.
Hexapod Allies – Locust Project
The Hexapod Allies project was a project by Biosyn that involved the genetically modified locusts with prehistoric animal and insect genetic information. The Hexapod Allies is inspired by and based on a real project called the Insects Allies Project by DARPA in real life.
Many misunderstand that Biosyn has released pre-historic DNA modified monster locusts to consume on crops that are non-Biosyn seeds. (There is a possibility that this may be true, however the motif of Hexapod Allies suggest that this project of Biosyn started off as a good intention to help other non-Biosyn crops by providing good genetic traits to them with a locust as a vector or as a transport)
However Hexapod Allies was a project rather to provide benefits to non-Biosyn seeded crops by using the locusts as a host or carrier to spread disease, frost, drought resistant genetic traits to non-Biosyn crops.
However, the genetically modified locusts went out of control and instead they started to consume on non-Biosyn crops that started to lead to a global famine as the locusts were resistant to pesticides and other repellant methods.
Dr. Ellie Sattler was investigating these genetic monster locusts and suspected that Biosyn was behind the locust epidemic. She convinces Dr. Alan Grant to investigate the Biosyn research facility and successfully obtains a locust sample as well.
Dr. Lewis Dodgson attempted to erase all the file of Hexapod Allies and incinerate all the evidence of the project. However, this caused the great fire of the Biosyn sanctuary as the monster locusts that were caught on fire escaped the lab and eventually Dr. Lewis Dodgson himself was killed trying to escape by the Dilophosaurus.
Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant testified against Biosyn at the Senate with the help of Ramsay Cole. Dr. Henry Wu after the Biosyn Incident was able to research on how Charlotte Lockwood was able to cure her genetic disease by a pathogen that modified Maisie Lockwood’s DNA.
Dr. Herny Wu created a pathogen that carried a genetic trait possibly that could cause sterility or eliminate the prehistoric genetic traits that would take down the genetically modified locusts. Dr. Henry Wu later devoted all credit to Charlotte Lockwood, Maisie Lockwood’s maternal mother.
Desert Locust
The genetically modified locusts were based on the desert locust usually found in Africa, the middle east and southwest Asia. The desert locusts were infamous for forming masses of population referred as locust plagues where they could migrate over long distances and wipe out food sources for humans. The desert locust by Biosyn were modified by a fictional species called a Maastrichtian-era locust.
Insect Allies Program – Inspiration of the Hexapod Allies project
DARPA the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency under the U.S. Department of Defense has a project named Insect Allies where it would utilize insects as a vector(transportation method) to deliver beneficial genetic traits to plants with a modified plant virus that has beneficial traits inserted with the disease traits removed.
Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler reunite
Dr. Alan Grant was researching in another dig site at Utah where Dr. Ellie Sattler came to ask for help to retrieve evidence of the genetically modified locust outbreak. Dr. Alan Grant refused at first but he eventually helps Dr. Ellie Sattler infiltrate Biosyn and receive an alive locust sample.
During the attack by the Dimterodons in the Amber mines, Dr. Alan Grant confesses how his life wasn’t happy without her to calm Dr. Ellie Sattler which surprised her because the only reason that Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant discontinued their relationship was that Dr. Alan Grant was obsessed with research.
After Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler survives the Biosyn Incident, the two would reunite that was something Maisie Lockwood already predicted the moment she has joined them after she escaped the Biosyn lab.
